Oops - missed some March happenings

Melissa had a serious car accident last Sunday. She rolled her car on the way home from friends in the city. She is okay (thank goodness) with just a bruise/small scrap on her knee) but her car is totalled. Then she went car shopping and bought herself a 2004 Grand Am...fully loaded. She LOVES it. She picked it up last night and had to show all her friends. today, at work, the car was broken into...and all her personal stuff was stolen. So she has spent the afternoon getting a new license, getting all her other stuff re-ordered etc. Poor girl.

I have booked my training spots for Rondee, Ding and Gidget with a young girl trainer. She is around the same distance from me as Jason - but the opposite direction. Jason is not taking in anymore basic training horses preferring to stick with cutters. This girl charges $550 a month for 30 days training. I am going to meet her on Sunday. She is going to take gidget in April, Ding in May and Rondee in June and July. Mike is also taking Cuba to her in April...so we will both have green horses to ride together in May. YIPPEE.

On the "Gunner" page...Melissa had her 2nd lesson on him last night...and she said it went great. Jason had to get on gunner and tune him up as he was being lazy for her. AFter that she said it was like riding a different horse...lots of pep. they worked the flag again and she said it is "A RUSH". She is riding Mon and Thurs every week from now on...and they figure that she will go onto live cows before the middle of April. She is pretty excited. She also said that Jason figures her and gunner will be a great fit once he figures out that he has to listen to her and work hard for her. LOL

We also got some news on Doyle's jobfront:

Doyle and I have been discussing this possibility for a month or so. Me worrying that his job may not be secure.

Today it was finalized. The guys were told at their 9 am meeting that all jobs are safe (thank god)...management may not be though. Doyle also said that the refinery and gas stations would still operate under the name "Petro-Canada".

This may also mean that some of the big builds that Petro-Canada could not do may go ahead.
