We got up early and headed to the Moon Palace for their timeshare talk. The Moon Palace is celebrating their 25th anniversary.
Wow what a place. It is MASSIVE and fancy. It is also an "all-inclusive", which is something we were interested in. They took us for a good buffet breakfast before starting their talk. We toured the place via golf cart and saw a bunch of the buildings and the spa and golf course. The rooms are extremely fancy with juccuzi tubs in both rooms - sucken living rooms - plasma tv's.
It was very expensive to join too - and with just having bought our timeshare at the Mayan Palace - we said "no..sorry". They were very polite and understanding and we left with our free stuff in hand.
We got 4 tickets to do a zipline...4 tickets to tour the Tulum ruins...and two tickets to go to Isla Majurles and go snorkeling. We had to buy two more tickets for the last one and the snorkling was extra as well...but it still saved us a pile of money.
We went back to our resort for the afternoon. Shayne and Bailey had a blast at or rather IN the pool. They sure are water rats.
Doyle and I sat back and soaked up the sun and had a couple drinks.
I spent some time playing with my camera practicing "depth of field" with the plants and bushes around the pool.
I think, all in all, our first day in Mexico was great.
