The last one up was Melissa, which was unusual for her. But she was excited once her eyes were open for the day.
Doyle gets his coffee going and has a cup while we settle around the tree. One person is designated as "Santa" and passes out the gifts. We do it all together...everyone has a gift and then we all open at the same time.
All the kids had very small Christmas gift lists this year which made it easy to fill them.
They all received IPod Nano's in the colors requested. Melissa got yellow, Shayne's is silver and Bailey's is purple.
Shayne and Bailey also asked for BOOKS. Bailey wanted and received the Twilight series and Shayne got some weird freaky looking "Demonata" series.
They also got great gifts from Mark, Luke, and both sets of grandparents.
Melissa also went shopping and bought everyone gifts. It was her first foray into doing her own shopping and she did a great job.
Doyle and I cheated this year and bought our own gifts. He bought himself a saw and a gun case, and I got some exercise stuff and a camera backpack.
