It has started

My new diet and exercise program.

I actually started the diet part - actually it is not being called a diet but a lifestyle change - just before Christmas.

I had my first appointment with Brenda on the 20th of December. The first part was just a consultation and an full body evaluation. Boy that was a little tough to go through - to find out exactly how my body was put together. Body fat is not my friend!!!

We then went over my eating habits and I was put on a 1400 calorie eating plan. Brenda has broken it down into 6 "meals" a day and has broken that down even farther into how many carbs, protien and fat grams I can have per meal and then has sheets that lists what foods are what in carb grams, protien grams and fat grams. It has made it fairly easy to make up my eating plans...for which I will be forever thankful.

Because of my vacation in January, we did not get into the exercise portion of our venture...but I am to keep a daily "food and exercise" diary.

It all sounds very simple. And the goal is to have lost 25 - 30 lbs by my birthday in May...as well as to have lost at least 4 clothing sizes. I am very excited...and scared as all of this is brand new to me.

you are going to do great--the trick with the exercise is to never even consider NOT doing it. Just do it as habit and it will be a lot easier to stay on the track
