The next few days were spent in a mad rush getting everything ready for our vacation. I had suitcases EVERYWHERE...clothes EVERYWHERE. Was up to my shoulders in laundry and housework.
I got all the Christmas decorations down and put away so that Melissa didn't have to worry about it. Got all the laundry done and put away. Cleaned the house.
And then had to worry about the outside stuff.
I moved Lucky and Lance into the "inside/outside pens" at the barn. Had Shayne and Doyle move the square bales inside so that Melissa didn't have to carry them over to feed those two.
Doyle spent the 3rd trying to get the tractor to start (it was -40 C) so that he could move round bales for the other horses. He finally had to bring the battery in the house - it took it 4 hours to warm up enough that it would hold a charge.
But we did it...we are ready.
