Before we are totally set up for winter, we have to merge the two smaller groups of horses. We have one group consisting of Ace, Cuba and Gidget, and a slightly larger one consisting of Skeena, Dolly, Angel, Rondee and Ding. I think doing this will be Ding’s comeuppance as she seems to think that she needs to be the boss of all – and is very quick to bite and kick her way through the group – and she is the YOUNGEST. Ace, I am sure, will put her in her place very quickly.
Doyle went out to the very back pasture and checked the fence. It is all good but he wants to replace 3 or 4 posts before we turn everyone out. I told him to hurry as I want them out there before it snows. There are some good sized holes back there too so we are thinking of getting some long pieces of pipe and putting them in the ground by the holes with flagging on them.
