Advertising and promoting the boys

We spoke with one of the ladies that works at the Western Horse Review magazine about advertising for Hyde and Gunner. Man…it gets expensive. We will probably do a 6 month advertising blitz on Hyde this year…and add in Gunner next year when he is done showing as a 4 year old. I am waiting on an advertising package to see what the cost is going to end up being.

We also talked about nominating both Hyde and Gunner to the Supreme. We asked Jason about it and he said it can be a good thing. There are some parts of it that I still don’t quite understand but apparently there are special classes for offspring of CS nominated stallions and the top winning horse of the year gets a huge payout. So that is something else to think about.

This is the information I found on the website:

Membership fees are used to cover: advertising, operating costs, and added purses at the show. Stakes money, along with yearling nomination money, is placed in a term deposit to collect interest until the 2010 show when it is paid out as added money in the Canadian Supreme Futurity classes.
