Dominica was a restful day for Doyle and I. We had already docked when we got up on Monday morning. Doyle opened the curtains and then closed them really fast. He turned to me and laughed. I asked what was so funny. He said "there are people right outside our window getting off the ship onto the pier". We didn't realize that the gangway would be right under our window that day. LOL
In the picture, our window is the 2nd small porthole on the bottom level from the right side of the pic.
While Paige and Barry were off on their first dive of the cruise, we lazed about the boat for most of the morning. Doyle watched a bartending exhibition...think Tom Cruise in Cocktail...at the poolside stage around lunch time.
The town looked very pretty from the boat with the various pastel shades of the buildings.
We also noticed something unusual...a Royal Bank of Canada...right at the end of the pier.
We venturing off in the early afternoon to do some more shopping - mostly for toiletry items but also to look for a shirt or a dress or something for me to wear for the informal dinners.
On the luggage front...still no news. The airlines had said that they would really try to have our luggage to us here...even going so far as to give the Concierge expidited tag numbers...but no luck. She went to one of the airports and had her agent go to the other and the bags never arrived. So once again, we are playing the waiting game.
The boat sure looks big tied up to the pier.
