Thought I should tell you a bit about the ship. This information was provided to each stateroom on our last day in the daily newsletter called "Celebrity Today".
The Summit is 964.6 ft long and weighs around 91,000 tons. It has been in service since 2001. It is 11 stories high, has 10 elevators and can carry 2038 guests. It has a crew of 930 people from around the world.
Here are a few pictures of this beautiful vessel.
At each elevator and staircase, there is a sign like this. It is like the ones in the malls...tells you where you are and where to find other things on the ship.
The main foyer of the boat was a stunning 3 level area. The 3rd floor held the Concierge Desk and Guest Relations with a stunning marble staircase. The 4th floor was were the internet cafe, casino and a martini bar sat. And the 5 floor was the shops.
This is a pic of the Captain and crew taken on Friday. This was taken in the Theater where they hold the broadway shows.
This is a pic of Conservatory and Flower Shop on Deck 11. It is just inside the top deck the surrounds the pool.
This is the Casino - Doyle and I played the slots for 1/2 hr or so. Didn't win anything - just our luck.
This is the internet cafe. Doyle and Barry were very happy that Paige and I only visited it a couple times on the trip. LOL
The pool was situated on the 10th floor with an 11th floor deck around the edge. It consisted of 2 pools and 4 hot tubs.
